I'm back with another Nintendo Switch emulation test and today we'll be checking to see how Sea of Stars performs across three different devices with three completely different chips.

I have the Redmi K70 Pro in my hands right here and will be testing how the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset performs when emulating this game with the Yuzu emulator.

I also have the Redmi 13 Pro here today so that we can see how the game performs when trying to play it on a phone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 SoC.

And lastly I have the Pixel 8 with the Tensor G3 that will allow us to test and see how the game performs when using a Mali G715 Immortalis GPU.

As mentioned, we'll be starting out with the latest flagship chip from Qualcomm thanks to the Redmi K70 Pro that I recently purchased specifically for this channel.

Next up, we have the most recent mid-range chip from Qualcomm with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 that's inside of the Redmi 13 Pro.

Finally, we have the latest chip from Google, with the Tensor G3 inside of the Pixel 8 here. So far in my testing, only one Nintendo Switch game has performed well enough to actually play through the game. But with this game not being so graphically demanding, I suspect it may end up playing well.

Let's take a look!

So in most cases, phones with the Qualcomm Snapdragon chip tend to perform better when emulating these more modern console games. Especially with Yuzu for Android. But that simply was not the case here today.

Surprisingly the Pixel 8 was able to emulate Sea of Stars perfectly with build 173 of Yuzu for Android

Even if we disable NCE within the Yuzu settings the game still doesn't load the graphics properly with the Snapdragon chips.

I would be curious to learn if any of you noticed the same issue on your smartphone or tablet as well.
I will be doing some research later today to see if there's a patch or a workaround or something.
There may be some stetting that needs to be toggled first before it will load correctly on these chips.

So please use the comments section below to share how the game performed on your device and don't forget to share as much information as possible. Including the version of Android you have installed, which phone or tablet you tested it on, the version of Yuzu you're using, and how Sea of Stars runs for you.
