Our Stay at the Wai'anapanapa Cabins | Where to Stay on the Road to Hana, Maui

The Road to Hana on
The Road to Hana on #Maui is best done over two days. But finding a place to stay is tough (and expensive). We recommend staying at Wai’anapanapa State Park's campsites and cabins with the famous black sand beach.
The Wai’anapanapa State Park is a must-see stop on the Road to Hana. While many come for the day to the black sand beach, most don’t know about the camping and cabin options at the state park. We were lucky enough to grab a one-night cancellation so we went in August when Maui was closed but the Hana Highway was open.
Reservations are tough to get and one must bring their own linens but for the price and location, nothing is better near Hana for a place to stay.
