Today on Booze On The Rocks, we make the Shaft cocktail a creamy cold brew coffee cocktail. Based on the movie character John Shaft, this cocktail was created around 2000 by Mark Smith of the Livingroom Restaurant in Calgary. Originally built as a layered cocktail in the style of a White Russian, it evolved on its way to the west coast into what we know today. A creamy cold brew coffee cocktail. SHAFT
2 oz/60 ml Cold Brew Coffee
.5 oz/15 ml Coffee Liqueur
1 oz/30 ml Vodka
1 oz/30 ml Bailey's
Method
1. Add all of the ingredients to a Shaker Tin.
2. Shake with ice for 10 seconds.
3. Strain into a Rocks glass over fresh ice.
