Southern California Bats - Mexican Free Tailed Bat

Thousands of bats fly from their roost under a bridge in Hemet California to feast on insects over some orange groves. This flight happens every day during the warmer months, the bats migrate south to more temperate weather during the winter months. These bats are the size of a Kiwi fruit and have big ears relative to their bodies. They are native to North America and are plentiful in numbers.
