SNS 210: Acme Nut Threading

This week I machined the new acme threaded nut for the G&E shaper tool head. This was in an attempt to reduce the backlash from the original nut. I share how I grind in the tool bit,  machining the nut, and then threading it.
Also in the mix is the Standridge mini granite surface plate from Tom Lipton at oxtoolco
