In this video, I take
In this video, I take you through the journey of designing and developing our first flexible fluid-type ultrasensitive strain sensor. This innovative sensor is targeted for wearable health monitoring and water-proof robotic applications. We utilized a biocompatible composite of glycerol and potassium chloride as the conductive sensing material, achieving a highly stretchable, stable, and linear performance. In this video, I discuss the fabrication process, sensor design optimization using COMSOL 5.4, and the rigorous testing we conducted, including its application as a feedback sensor for underwater robotics and wearable devices. Learn how we achieved high sensitivity with a gauge factor of 2.7 and tested the device over 8000 cycles at 25% strain. Watch to discover how this cost-effective, simple fabrication process can lead to high-end applications in health and robotics.
