Paneer Karamani/ Cow Peas garvy is a healthier version of Paneer butter masala with minimum oil and butter and optional use of fresh cream, without compromising the taste. This Paneer gravy is a best side dish for chapathi, naan, dosa and idly and makes a delicious lunch box recipe. Cow Peas / Black eyed Beans - 1/2 cup (soaked for 5 hours)
Paneer - 100 grams

For Masala:
Oil - 1 Tbsp
Cinnamom - 1.5 inch
Cloves - 2
Cardamom - 2
Cashews - 3
Onion - 1 small
Garlic - 6 to 8 cloves
Ginger - 1.5 inch piece
Coriander seeds - 2 Tbsp
Fennel Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Red chilly - 4 to 6
Kashmiri Chilly - 3 (optional)
Tomato - 2 (Bangalore tomatoes preferred)
Salt as required
Water as required

For Paneer Gravy :
Oil - 1 Tbsp
Butter - 1 Tbsp
Water as required

For Garnish:
Fresh cream - 1 tsp (optional)
Kasuri Methi / Dried Fenugreek Leaves - 1 tsp
