The Dry Canal has a length of 96 kilometers and crosses the departments of Comayagua, La Paz and Valle.
Facilitating connections between the Pacific and the Honduran Atlantic and with neighboring countries, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Guatemala.

Among the economic and environmental aspects, this road will bring savings in the costs of transporting products, increase in the competitiveness of the area, savings in travel times and less pollution by improving the circulation of vehicles.
The Dry Canal joins the ports of Amapala and Henecán, in the Gulf of Fonseca, with Puerto Cortés, in the Atlantic, and is an emblematic work for the country, as it is part of the Logistics Corridor developed by President Hernández with the vision of place Honduras at the forefront of business, trade and investment.
Additionally, it brought with it the creation of 6,000 jobs, new businesses and the direct and indirect benefit of the people who travel through this four-lane communication route.
