Review copy provided by publisher. Poison Control is Nippon Ichi Software's latest game which can be categorised as a action JRPG with shooter gameplay. In this Poison Control review I talk in-depth about the story and different gameplay mechanics while showing relevant gameplay in the background. The game has already been released in Japan under the name Shoujo Jigoku no Doku Musume (少女地獄のドクムス〆) back in June of 2020. The game releases on both the PS4 and the Nintendo Switch with the following release dates:
NA release date: April 13th 2021
EU/ANZ release date: April 16th 2021
Ever since the first Poison Control trailer I've been so excited for this game to drop, but sadly it doesn't live up to the expectations. That is not to say that it's a bad game. If I had to summarize it, Poison Control is a Beautiful Mess and in the video review I explain why this is the case. Whether you are a die-hard JRPG fan or love anime games in general, I'm sure that you'll be interesting to hear what I have to say!
