The lighter your pack,  the easier your Camino will be on your body.

You should be able to get your bag weight to 8kg or less

It's super personal what you carry,  but here are some suggestions, if nothing else, you can use these examples as comparisons for what you might take.

2kg for a rucksack is really heavy.

I use Osprey Exos 58lt 1kg, but if you can afford it.
Hyperlite Contour 35 is 500g.
Or
2024 Kumo 36 Superlight Backpack
580g

Raincoat
I'd like to try next time:
Montane Unisex Minimus Nano Pull-On chaqueta - SS24.
110g

Keri wore:
RAB Firewall Light Jacket
313g

John wore:
Montane Men's Phase XT Waterproof Jacket
500g

Sleepingbag
we use Sea to Summit Traveller TR II 389g
We use it as a duvet most of the time

Next time i'd try
LIFEVENTURE
Silk Sleeping Bag Liner, Mummy
Weighs
94g

Drybags
SeatoSummit Ultra-Sil Nano Drysacks 24g
Ix for alberguie clothing/ sleepin bag
1x fleece
1x phone charger
1x bathroom stuff
1x journal
1x first aid, foot care kit

We wash our socks, shirt & underwear every day & it's dry by the evening. We get into the alberguie 11-12

After washing & wrining out your clothing, roll it in a towel & walk on it,  it takes so much moisture out of the clothes & drys so much quicker.

Shirt
REGATTA MENS PACKAWAY SHORT-SLEEVED TRAVEL SHIRT

Dare2B long sleaved
POWER UP II JERSEY, for those hot sunny days.

Underwear
Montane Dart  Briefs

Socks
Bridgedale Men's Ultra Light Merino Performance Crew

Towel
Decathlon NABAIJI Microfibre Towel L. 200g

fleece
Rab Xenair Alpine Light Insulated Jacket 270g

Walking poles
I'd say a pair is a must.
We use Leki Cressida AS 490g & love them.
They must go in hold luggage on a plane!

Walking trainers
Getting a pair that works for you.
I wear a size large than at home.
I bought one pair in Burgos 1 size larger than normal & another pair in Santiago 1.5 larger than normal.
Check out this article to help you choose a pair.

Water
most of the time i just carry one 500ml (500g) water bottle, the type you get from any bar.

a few stages,  if there are not many stops I'd carry 2 500ml.

I'd drink 500ml of water with breakfast & the same at each cafe i stopped at for coffee. There are so many places you can refill water bottles & buy water there is no need for a fancy hydration system.
on really hot days I'd drink 1lt at each cafe, without trying.

I carry:
1x shorts
1x short sleaved shirt
1x long sleaved shirt
1x mirino wool t-shirt to sleep in
1x feece
1x socks
2x boxer shorts
1x beach towers for night/evening
1x towel
1x warm hat
1x wide brimed sun hat (super important)
1x cool snood (buy a cool Camino one on the walk)
1x walking trainers - so important to get ones that work for you.
1x flip flops
Sun glasses
Phone & charger
Phone ear buds
A5 journal book
X2 walking poles
X2 pole rubber

Feet care
-Compeed ant-blister stick (for those friction areas you'd traditionaly use vasaline)

-Elastic Therapeutic Sports Tape (preventative hot spot tape for areas of your feet)

-Sharp nail scissors, with Cork over sharp tip, to avoid damaging my kit

I'd love to encourage/support/enthuse other people to become a pilgrim & walk a Camino.

If you want me to give a talk/slide show of our experience of spending 52 consecutive days walking 1,269.7km I'd be delighted to do so.

I've got a lot of experience public speaking as a former headteacher.

There would be no charge,  I'd just ask each person who attends to donate £1 to a charity of your own choosing
