How Does A Sound Technician (Mix Engineer) Practice?

This video talks about some basics of how to practice as a sound technician.  Every instrumentalist has to practice, vocalists can sing anywhere they want, but how do YOU (as a sound technician) PRACTICE?

Things You Need:
(1) Computer
(2) Multitracks
(3) DAW (Digital Audio Workstation)
(4) Headphones or Earbuds

Some helpful links for the things above:
(1) A basic computer will work for getting started.  Something with a minimum of 4GB of RAM, but obviously, the more the merrier.

(4) Headphones or earbuds will be best for this practice time.  Honestly, anything you can put in your ears to listen with is better than nothing.  If you want to step it up a notch you can grab some decent headphones with a flat response.  I use Sennheiser HD-280 Pro in my studio and they sound great and budget friendly.
