Opened in 1972, Northridge Mall in Milwaukee, Wisconsin quickly declined after a planned nearby freeway was never built. Within 10 years, anchor stores started leaving the 975,000 square foot mall. By 2003, Northridge was abandoned after slowly losing stores and rising vacancy rates throughout the late 1980s and 1990s. Despite the City of Milwaukee's attempts to demolish it, the mall has sat empty for nearly 20 years, a relic of a bygone era that invites urban explorers to glimpse its interior remains. #abandonedmall #abandonedmilwaukee #urbanexploration Thanks to jonreVHS for uploading the classic commercial heard in the video youtube.com/c/jonreVHS Subscribe for New Videos! youtube.com/artofexploration
