DUI v. DWI: What's the Difference? #shorts

The difference between DUI and DWI is that DUI refers to driving a vehicle while under the influence of drugs and DWI refers to driving a vehicle while intoxicated from alcohol. However, in Louisiana, DWI (Driving While Intoxicated) and DUI (Driving Under the Influence) are actually the same crime in Louisiana under the statute of La. R.S. 14:98. There is no difference between DWI and DUI when it comes to penalties.
