We then explored the Palatine Hill. Among the things we enjoyed were the house where Alexander the Great lived, the wonderful gardens, the great fountain and the cages where animals were kept. At the top of the Palatine Hill we were awed by the view of the ruins of ancient Rome as well as the surrounding areas. We then proceeded to the area where the remains of Julius Caesar were originally placed after his assassination by Brutus. On the way, we also took pictures of various landmarks including the Temple of Antoninus and Faustina and the columns of the Roman Forum.
