*GEORGIA: After spending some time in Tbilisi, I wanted to explore more of this fascinating country. The Caucasus Mountains are a jaw-dropping natural location and they always held a special allure for me. Because I only had one day, I joined a group tour with Gamarjoba Georgia.
During our journey from Tbilisi to Stepantsminda on the Russian border, we saw a Soviet water reservoir, visited a 17th-century fortress, feasted on some traditional Georgian food, admired the quirky Soviet Russia-Georgia friendship monument, and drove up to the stunning Holy Trinity Church next to Georgia’s highest mountain.
