1) Before turning off heat, place used hot stones back into stone heater or crock pot water.
2) Add some borax, baking soda, bicarbonate of soda, or citric acid powder (most expensive, but it's included in the video as it also works. You could even use an Alka Seltzer tablet).
2) Providing that the water is hot, wait 3 - 5 minutes. It does not take long.
3) Remove stones from old water and wash with your favorite cleanser in the sink. It is useful to use a large colander as stones must be rinsed well. Let dry. You're done.
Pour out used water and clean the stone heater of any grime, oil, and finger prints.
