Phallus impudicus (stinkhorn) mycelium time-lapse (4 Days)

Mycelium of the "stinkhorn" fungus growing in culture; time-lapse sequence filmed over a 4 day period. This fungus displays beautiful rhizomorphic mycelium; the individual thread-like hyphae adhere to each other forming bundles / strands, which helps them reach into the air and explorer new habitats. In this video, the mycelium is growing over an unidentified black mould colony.
