China can now make enough cars to satisfy half of the world's needs. It is also looking at the US. However, there are already Chinese-owned names in the U.S., such as Volvo, Polestar, and Lotus. However, there are still no real Chinese brands here yet. But people who know say it's only a matter of time. President Biden put high taxes on Chinese automakers, which made the price of an imported EV double in May 2024. But some people who work in the business say taxes might not work that well in the long run and might even hurt things more than help.
