I am definitely over 40
I am definitely over 40 years now and part of playing this opening suite every day is about keeping in shape. It is not always the same, as in today where I am testing out a new direct box setup. The Esquire 9 String is going into the 4G℞E Amp and then into a Radial JD1 passive direct box before hitting the eeePC. I am also monitoring the sound using the through function into a Pignose cabinet-- many times smaller than the usual 810!
I like the sound. There is a lot more high-end definition which is probably to be expected vs the speakers in the 810 which have significant rolloff after 3.5k. The extra presence helps the percussive elements of the playing come out a bit more (and also the mistakes hahaha!) It will be nice to have a direct box I'm familiar with when it becomes necessary to use one in a live performance.

I'm playing the 9-String Esquire through the Radial JD1 direct box into the eeePC.
Playing this opening suite of songs every day over the past 3 years has really changed and improved my playing. Now I am going to experiment with splitting the daily session into two videos: the opening suite and the explore section. I think this will help me maintain a certain level of consistency at a lower stress level. We'll see!
