Conditions causing malabsorption
1-abnormal ileal function
Crohn's disease or
2-Reabsorption defect-surgical resection
3- decreased bile acid reabsorption
in the ileum.
4- Increased delivery of bile acids
to the large intestine.
1- Bile acid synthetic defect, Cirrhosis
2-Bile acid secretory defect in,
primary biliary cirrhosis
