Wingnut was originally created in the year 1989 by Ryan Brown for the TMNT cereal comics, and his character is heavily inspired by and based on DC’s Batman, which truly has become his unique selling point. Wingnut is an alien with wings, a bat of sorts, and although he has been called a Dracula before, he is far from it. Sometimes a hero, sometimes a villain, his appearances in the comics and series truly are multi-dimensional. Even though Wingnut is often compared to Batman for obvious reasons which will be discussed in this video, it is important to know that despite that, he is an interesting character in his own right. And, although Wingnut has not been around the ninja turtles universe as much as other prolific villains like Shredder, the bat-themed TNMT villain has a lot of potential.
