We recently went to Switzerland
We recently went to Switzerland for an extended weekend (4/25/2024 - 4/28/2024) and met up with my wife who went a couple days earlier.
My son and I arrived in Zurich on Thursday and we spent 2 nights at Bürgenstock resort near Lucerne and 1 night at Park Hyatt in Zurich. It was my first time to Switzerland. We might have enjoyed the spa at the hotel a little too much and did not go to see as many sites as I would have liked. It is a beautiful country and I plan on going back to visit.
Day 1 (Thursday) - Bürgenstock Resort and Lucerne (Old bridge)
Day 2 (Friday) - Bürgenstock Resort and Lucerne (Lion Monument)
Day 3 (Saturday) - Zürich (Old Town) - Be sure to stop by Grossmünster and Lindenhof for some great view of the city.

Travel & Lodging Information:
- Cost of train ticket from Zurich Airport to Lucerne (https://sbb.ch) - CHF 32
- Ferry and Funicular from Lucerne to Bürgenstock is free for hotel guests, you just need to show your reservation. Once you check-in, they give you a pass that you will show when you board the ferry and funicular.
- Bürgenstock hotel (https://burgenstockresort.com/en) for prices. The unit we stayed in is: Contemporary lake view spa suite with spa access (958 sq. ft). Check hotel website for latest price :)
- Park Hyatt Zurich - I used 35000 pts transferred from my Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card.
