Jackson Reffitt turned his father, Guy, into the authorities for his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol attack.
Guy will be spending just over seven years in prison after being convicted of bringing a gun to the Capitol.
That is the longest sentence handed out in connection to the insurrection so far.
Jackson says he has mixed emotion on his father's fate but adds he "absolutely" agrees with his sentence.
