Molding and Casting are words
Molding and Casting are words people use interchangeably, leading to much confusion. In this video I explain the similarities and differences between molding and casting and how to use the words correctly.

00:17 The point to molding and casting is to make a copy of an object.
00:44 A mold is a container with a specific shape that, when filled, transfers it's shape to the casting medium.

02:18 Other kinds of molds are rigid such as wax or fiberglass molds.
02:45 Molds are also called Tools. There are flexible tools and rigid tools. That's why you will see molding rubber sometimes referred to as tooling rubber.
