A village boy named Jai (Dilip Kumar) defeats a royal prince Shamsher (Prem Nath) in a fencing challenge, enraging and prompting him to seek revenge against Jai by exploiting his childhood friend. While Shamsher is at odds with everyone, including Jai’s village and his own father, the king, Jai is busy wooing the royal princess who refuses to dismount from her high horse. This engaging tale includes violence, abduction, homicide, betrayal and love, all blended together to form an epic saga.
