Across the Carnatic spectrum, there are musicians who soothe your senses; there are those who pump your adrenaline and then there are those who stimulate your intellect and draw your admiration. But rarely, if you’re lucky, you come across a musician like Vid. Ramakrishnan Murthy who unfailingly achieves the prized triumvirate every time you witness him in action - a pleasure to the ears, a dopamine to the mind and a joy to the heart!
It is our utmost pleasure to bring to you this season’s compilation (with the artiste’s kind permission). We’ve made an attempt to curate this as a full-fledged concert experience - there’s a gem of an opening piece, a short popular momentum building item, a sub-main, a “main” (with some breath-taking and deep raga alapanas and some sensational swaras)and a post-main section with a sloka and a “Thukkada”.
