Now that the welding is done and a success, we go on to the Stage III.5 Porting procedure. I always start with the combustion chamber first so to set the tone of the design, as almost half the flow or restriction is in the chambers in the first place. This head has POTENTIAL big-time. It is with an eyelash of being a current design, and no doubt the best FE type chamber PERIOD!!! It even has the heart shape to it, just needing a little help to support the BIG 2.15 intake valve. This head is going to be a screamer as it is connected to one of two intake manifolds, the OLD Edelbrock cross-ram or a Blower intake manifold. Big problem with this head is Machinist Ridges, or the over-hang of ridges around the valves. This is the screw of this head and chamber design, and Headbytes cures this problem with about 15 hours of chamber work to make the BIG 2.15 Intake work.
