Step by step easy to follow instructions on knitting this easy variation to your normal ribbing that gives it a bit of a twist and unique look. Instructions are given for knitting this twisted rib stitch in the round and flat. Try this the next time your pattern calls for a simple 1x1 or 2x2 ribbing.

Cast on an even number of stitches:
All rounds: *Ktbl, P1*, repeat
2x2 Twisted Rib using straight needles (knitting flat):
Cast on a number of stitches divisible by four:
Row 1: *Ktbl, Ktbl, P1, P1*, repeat
Row 2: *Ptbl, Ptbl, K1, K1*, repeat
2x2 Twisted Rib in the round:
Cast on a number of stitches divisible by four:
All rounds: *Ktbl, Ktbl, P1, P1*, repeat
