About Charanga Casino Charanga Casino was formed in New Jersey in 1978; led by güiro player/composer Felipe Javier Ramos, the band quickly became very popular and went on to record several albums with many now classic dance hits. The orchestra currently resides in Miami, Florida and still performs Cuban Charanga music to enthusiastic audiences. Last July Charanga Casino performed at the 2012 Annual Miami Fiesta Para Los Charangueros along with La Charanga Típica Tropical.
