This series of talks unfolds the highest truths of Vedanta through the study of "The song of God". ► To support the Vedanta Society of New York: http://bit.ly/SupportVedantaNY 🔆Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 2, Verse 64: रागद्वेषवियुक्तैस्तु विषयानिन्द्रियैश्चरन् | आत्मवश्यैर्विधेयात्मा प्रसादमधिगच्छति || 64|| rāga-dveṣha-viyuktais tu viṣhayān indriyaiśh charan ātma-vaśhyair-vidheyātmā prasādam adhigachchhati 🔴 Approaching objects with senses free from attachment and aversion, and controlled by the mind, the man who has mastered his mind wins serenity. 🔆Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 2, Verse 65: प्रसादे सर्वदु:खानां हानिरस्योपजायते | प्रसन्नचेतसो ह्याशु बुद्धि: पर्यवतिष्ठते || 65|| prasāde sarva-duḥkhānāṁ hānir asyopajāyate prasanna-chetaso hyāśhu buddhiḥ paryavatiṣhṭhate 🔴 Serenity won, sufferings come to an end; the reason of that man, whose mind is serene, soon becomes steadfast. 🔆Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 2, Verse 66: नास्ति बुद्धिरयुक्तस्य न चायुक्तस्य भावना | न चाभावयत: शान्तिरशान्तस्य कुत: सुखम् || 66|| nāsti buddhir-ayuktasya na chāyuktasya bhāvanā na chābhāvayataḥ śhāntir aśhāntasya kutaḥ sukham 🔴 The unintegrated mind has no wisdom; nor can such a person have yearning (for Self-knowledge). Without such yearning, no peace (is possible). For one lacking peace, how can there be happiness?
