With nearly 800 albums in his career, Café's guest today is the cellist, conductor, arranger and composer Jaques Morelenbaum. Carioca, from a family of musicians, "Jaquinho" joined the groups A Barca do Sol and Banda Nova by maestro Antonio Carlos Jobim. In addition, he is a frequent contributor to such names as Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Ivan Lins, Chico Buarque, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Maria Bethânia, Marisa Monte and many more. Of course, it is not possible to leave out the partnership with his wife, the singer Paula Morelenbaum.
Jaques, accompanied by his 5-string cello, came here for an afternoon of a lot of talk about composing, improvisation and also - as always! - good times of lots of music.
