Christianity vs Pure Land Buddhism: the Differences

Q: Are you mixing Jesus' teachings with Buddhism? Is Pure Land Buddhism a mix of biblical teachings with Buddhism?
Despite there being some similarities between Christianity and
Buddhism (codes of conduct, universal values of love and compassion etc.). On the surface, Christianity and Pure Land Buddhism may share similarities, but there are still major differences between Christianity and Pure Land Buddhism.
Pure Land Buddhism is not mixed with biblical teachings.
1. Buddhism is much earlier than Christianity. Pure Land Buddhism is a proper branch of Mahayana Buddhism which is entirely based on the Buddha's teachings from the Mahayana sutras.
2. Amitabha Buddha is not God (as in Creator Absolute who creates everything and governs all). Amitabha only creates His Land of Ultimate Bliss, not the world we live in.
In Buddhism there isn't an external Creator Absolute who creates and governs all. The word Buddha means a completely awakened person. If anything Buddha wants all of us to become Buddhas, to be awakened and free from suffering.
3. The Pure Land is not another heaven. In Buddhism, heaven still remains one of the six realms in the cycle of reincarnation. It's not eternal yet beings do enjoy tremendously long lifespans there. The Pure Land is a Buddha's Land which is completely outside of the cycle of reincarnation. By seeking rebirth in the Pure Land, one transcends the cycle of Samsara (repeated births and deaths) and attains Infinite Light & Life.
4. Amitabha Buddha accepts all to His Pure Land including those who have committed many evil deeds, if at the time of death, they are willing to have a change of heart and recite the Name of Amitabha Buddha even for ten recitations, they can still go to the Pure Land.
5. Pure Land Buddhism can be practised by people from all different religions and backgrounds as the essence of Buddhism is not really a religion, but a path of awakening which can be practised by all. There have been countless rebirth cases for people who have sought rebirth to the Pure Land from ancient times til now.
