This is a little bit involved, and needs to be picked up early game – but it’s worth the effort, because the process itself is a bit of fun; plus Trevor get’s an additional $100,000… which is essential if you’re doing a Billionaire’s playthrough.
The Altruist Cult becomes available after Trevor has completed Nervous Ron; where we take over the Azteka’s Airfield, and do our first gun-running, err, run.
The Altruists are tied to the random events where you have to pick up people and drive them to their destination; you can do this on almost any one of these events except:
* Packie Mcreary Unlock
* Taliana Martinez Unlock
* Bucks Party gone bad
If Trevor picks up any other hitch hiker, or needs to drop a rando’ somewhere, you should see this notification pop up on screen and a new, temporary marker appear on the map.
Drive the poor damned soul up to the camp, and drop them off. As you drop off your fourth hitch hiker, Trevor will be ushered into the compound, where it will all kick off.
Now, again, this can be just about anyone that has a set destination; but for my money, I typically go for:
The hitch hiker lady that’s been on a week-long bender; and is taking advantage of a young man’s nativity and generosity.
The alleged former member of the Lost Motorcycle club, who appears to have robbed the club, and her family; and is attempting to spin a story, to help her get away with it.
The guy, who wants to drive home drunk in a large SUV; who can be found near Flloyd’s place.
…and finally, the serial cheater; who is complaining that his wife is upset about his extra-marital philandering.
If you get really stuck, there’s always the amorous couple not far from Trevor’s place, too – but I like these guys, because they’re genuinely in lust, and make sure they don’t endanger other people.
If you’ve already had these random events, don’t despair; you may be able to find some other compatible events using Fandom’s GTA Wiki. There’s a link to the relevant page in the description below.
