I've been using the fantastic Heliopan Variable ND filters for many years and love them - they allow wide open apertures in bright sunlight while maintaining the 50th second shutter speed mostly use for video (25fps).
I needed to buy a couple more though and thought I would see how the Tiffen variable ND filter compared.
In this video I talk a little about my lengthy experience with the Heliopans which you may find interesting, offer some initial thoughts on the Tiffen and then put them head to head in some tests I shot.
