According to NITI Ayog report, total of 24.82 crore individuals in India escaped multidimensional poverty over the last nine years, with the largest decline reported in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh.

India and Iran on Monday signed an agreement on the further development of the Chabahar Port. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, who is in Iran as part of ongoing talks between the two sides, also reviewed regional and international developments.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday spoke to Russian president Vladimir Putin, and discussed regional and global issues including Russia's presidency of BRICS.
