Optimizing Budget Allocation in Microsoft Project

This is a Microsoft Project tutorial covering, budget resources, task usage, assigning resources and summary tasks. The tutor starts off by creating three resource one of which is a budget resource. The tutor then tries to allocate the budget resource but cannot. The budget resource can only be allocated to a Project summary task. To add a Project summary task, select the Format Gantt chart option and click the Summary task option. Once the summary task is activated the budget resource can be added to it. To allocate money or hours (if it is a Work resource), use the Task Usage View. In task usage add the Budget Cost column and add a cost. Repeat the process for a Work budget resource.
