Before you going changing the usual suspects: battery and starter, watch this video. Keep in mind, this car only has 100,000km.
This video shows a 328i E90, with the 3.0L N52 but this applies to other BMW models like the 5 series E60 E61, 1 series E82 E88, Z4 - E85, X3 F25, and X1 - E84
