The Gulf's two power centers... On one side, we have Saudi Arabia, the world's largest oil exporter, and on the other, the dominant trading hub of the region, the United Arab Emirates. Both are prized allies in the Gulf, as well as economic competitors. When it comes to international interests, they are two countries that can turn whatever they have into opportunities and take risks when necessary. 'I believe the Middle East will become the new Europe. Saudi Arabia will be a completely different country within 5 years.' The most significant driver of change and dynamism in the region, as we will often mention in this content, is commercial activities. An increasingly noticeable focal point is turning towards the East. Collaborations with Asian countries question the position of dominant external powers in the region, particularly the United States. Connections in the Gulf are diversifying; relationships with Asian powers, especially China and India, are deepening. There's more to it. These two powers in the Gulf position themselves as 'mediators' in regional and global crises that directly affect politics, economics, and logistics, such as in Sudan and the Russia-Ukraine conflict. In this context, we can say that the political, economic, and logistical cooperation and competition between the two neighbors in the Gulf are converging. So, what does this change in the Gulf tell us? Will competition or cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates take center stage? Furthermore, let's ask another question that is also of great interest: To what extent will this partnership in the Gulf affect the global influence of the two countries?
