EGR Valve on 1994 Mercedes C280

The EGR valve on older cars is a common problem that can contribute to performance issues. I am replacing my original factory unit. This means the original was over 27 years old. Space is relatively tight for wrenches so be patient removing the compression coupling nuts. While you are at it you should probably replace any vacuum lines that connect to it. Don't make the weakest link of the repair be a $1 piece of hose. I think I spent a couple hours on the repair. Video recording always makes things go a little slower. I bet if I had to do it again I could probably do it in 1 hour. So, I suppose I saved $100- $150 doing the repair myself.
