FAQ:
1. Should I add a preservative to the White Tea Glow Body Butter?
Answer: No and Yes.
Reason: The cranberry seed oil has mild antimicrobial properties and most oils and butters will not grow nasties because they do not contain water. However, they can be introduced to water. Avoid putting wet hands into the jar. Use dry, clean hands or wooden spoon. Once water is introduced to the product, it is contaminated and will grow bacteria, mold, etc. If you can't avoid water contamination, try refrigerating your butter (This may change texture). Refrigeration is not a substitute for a preservative, nasties start to grow within 24 hours of exposure to contaminates.
