Identify the proximal end of the tibia and its features: the tibial plateaus, intercondylar eminence, intercondylar area, tibial tuberosity, medial and lateral condyles
List and identify the factors involved in the stability of the knee: bone, muscles, and ligaments.
Describe the components of the knee joint:
ligaments: ligamentum patellae, collateral ligaments, cruciate ligaments, oblique popliteal, arcuate popliteal, coronary and transverse ligaments.
bursae:  suprapatellar, prepatellar, infrapatellar,  semimembranosus, gastrocnemius, and popliteus
special structures: menisci, tendon of popliteus, infrapatellar fat pad
movements: passive locking and active unlocking
Identify the attachments and understand the function of popliteus muscle in unlocking of the knee.
Describe the anatomical structures and forces that are involved in the "unhappy triad" of the knee.
Explain the anatomical basis of anterior and posterior drawer tests
Describe the functional anatomy of the menisci.
Explain the differences between the medial and lateral menisci, collateral ligaments, cruciate ligaments.
