Do all bonsai have to look old?
The appearance of age is something that is often discussed as a bonsai technique.  Most of the time the discussion leads towards the creation of ancient looking areas on the bonsai.  But, isn't there value in youth as well?
In this video, I take a quick run at a young tree from the moutains and do what I can to express some harshness of nature while at the same time attempting to preserve an appropriate appearance of age for a tree with this type of growth.
