Cable TV is extremely expensive and unnecessary nowadays. You can save money and get better entertainment by dropping cable and choosing some streaming platforms.
2. Internet Modem Subscriptions
Many internet companies rent out modem/routers as an alternative to getting your own. This is an unnecessary expense that can be avoid if you get your own router.
3. Anything Inside of a Gas Station
Everything you need from a gas station is located outside of the store: the gas. Everything inside the gas station like drinks, candy, and cigarettes are a complete waste of money.
4. The Lottery
The main one who benefits from the lottery is the government. You most likely are not going to win the lottery and you should not waste your money on it.
5. Sugary Drinks
Many people spends money every week buying sugar drinks like coke or Sunny D, which can add up to a lot of money. You should never waste your money on sugary drinks.
6. Chips
The price of chips has increased drastically the past few years with a bag almost costing $5. Chips are an unnecessary food that you shouldn't waste your money on.
7. Apple Products
Apple is the Gucci of tech. When you buy Apple products, you spend more money for the brand and get locked into their ecosystem, which costs you more.
8. Single Serving Products
Often, food is sold in single serving packages for convenience; however, this convenience creates a much high price tag. You shouldn't waste your money on single serving products.
9. Dryer Sheets
There is no point of dryer sheet. They are just an unnecessary added expense that ou shouldn't waste your money on.
10. Storage Units
Having a storage unit is very common nowadays; however, they are a completely unnecessary expense that you shouldn't waste your money on. Instead, declutter your stuff.
11. Financial Advisors
The truth about money is that nobody is going to take better care of your money than you, so you should take the time to learn about investing and money management and not waste your money on financial advisors.
12 Bank Fees
Banks are much more competitive than they used to be and most online banks do not have any fees. It is important to choose a good bank to avoid banking fees.
13. Rental Car Insurance
If you have rented a car before, you were probably asked if you want rental car insurance. Rental car insurance is a completely unnecessary expense because if you have a credit card, you probably have rental car insurance included.
