Mini Farm in my Backyard? Miniature Horses and Ponies

Can ponies live in a backyard? Can mini horses live in a backyard? You are going to need a mini horse barn and a plan! My ponies and mini horses live in my backyard, but it’s a lot of work to make it work. I started out with one miniature horse, but added a mini horse foal, a mini horse stallion, and a pony. I never intended to keep horses in my backyard as long as I have. I live in Florida, and after Covid so many horse people moved to the state that horse properties became to expensive for an average person like me to buy. So my husband and I looked for acreage we could afford, and when we finally bought our homestead, it needed a lot of work. We are finally building our house and barn for the ponies and hope to be moved to our mini farm this fall. It’s a good thing too, because Princess the Mini Horse is due to have a foal any day now, so my 4 ponies are about to be 5 ponies!
