Nesma presenta: Muwashahat, de Córdoba a Damasco

MUWASHAHAT De Córdoba a Damasco (see English below) "Un viaje milenario por el Mediterráneo sobre las huellas de la poesía arábigo-andaluza” Nesma emplea toda la riqueza de su lenguaje coreográfico neoandalusí, emotivo y contemporáneo, para llevar el público de viaje sobre las huellas de la muwashah, una forma poética creada en al-Andalus. Como dijo el celebre arabista español Emilio García Gómez, “De todos los inventos que debemos a la cultura de al-Andalus, la Muwashahat es sin duda la más original. ” Nesma presenta con este título, Muwashahat, una nueva creación musical y coreográfica inspirada en la historia de al-Andalus, donde retrata el recorrido de la poesía andalusí desde su invención en Córdoba en el siglo IX hasta la actualidad. Desde una perspectiva muy personal, en el cruce de culturas, Nesma emplea su arte para llevar al público sobre la huella de las Muwashahat, poemas cuya forma original y revolucionaria nacida en al-Andalus se convirtió en una corriente musical que se ha difundido en todo mundo árabe. La música se compone de piezas tradicionales del Magreb – Marruecos, Argelia y Túnez – en la primera parte y del Mashreq – Egipto, Siria, Líbano – en la segunda la parte (1),. Estas músicas han sido arregladas para una formación contemporánea de jazz, con admiración y respeto. Festival Noches de Ramadán MUWASHAHAT From Cordoba to Damascus “A thousand-year journey around the Mediterranean in the footsteps of Al-Andalus poetry” Nesma presents a new choreographic creation, inspired by the history of Al-Andalus, telling the journey of Andalusi poetry from the ninth century to the present day. Born in the mix of cultures at the height of the intellectual flowering of the Arab world, the brilliant Andalusi civilisation left an indelible mark on the Iberian Peninsula and across the Arabic world. In addition, it served as a channel for transmitting oriental wisdom to the West. Despite all the upheavals of history, its cultural legacy continues to fascinate. Nesma creates on the stage an innovative, neo-Andalusi spectacle, interpreted by six dancers and six musicians with musical arrangements by the Spanish singer and composer Irene Shams. Using a very personal perspective, from a crossroads of cultures, Nesma brings all the exuberance of her neo-Andalusi choreographic language, at once emotive and contemporary, to take the audience on a journey in the footsteps of the muwashah, an original and revolutionary poetic form which was born in Al-Andalus and which gave rise to a musical tradition. Nesma and her company embody on the stage the muwashahat (plural of muwashah), from the splendour of the Omeya Caliphate of Cordoba, its exile and journey across the Mediterranean, from the Maghreb to the Middle East, and its renaissance. Traditional music from the Maghreb and the Middle East, based on the poetry of the muwashahat by Andalusi writers, arranged for a contemporary company.
