Running up the stairs at Batu Caves in Malaysia

Most people would just take an aesthetic photo or video at a colorful spot like the Batu Caves and leave…

But I’m not most people 😅

What does it say about how my brain works, that the first thing that came to mind when I saw all the steps was ‘Rocky theme song’.

The Batu Caves is 15 minutes outside of Kuala Lumpur and is one of the most popular Hindu shrines beyond the borders of India.

The name of the caves is derived from the Malay word, ‘batu’ which is a literal translation meaning ‘rock’.

The caves are dedicated to the Hindu diety, Murugan which is evident with the giant 140ft. statue at the base of the stairs.

It’s supposed to take about 15 minutes to climb to the top, but that’s with no stopping.

If you’re like me and stopped to run up and down… well, at least you got your exercise for the day 😂
