How to add RAM to the computer.
There was a need to add RAM to the computer. This task can be easily handled by yourself.
First you need to find the right RAM for your computer. To do this, you need to know what type of RAM is suitable for a computer motherboard. For a more proper selection of RAM to your computer, you should read the relevant articles on the Internet.
Personally, I did not have to choose much. I just got an operative. It is of the same type as the one already installed - DDR3. With the same frequency of 1600 MHz and a supply voltage of 1.5 volts. But different timings and volume. The amount of installed memory is 4GB, and I will add 2GB. As a result, the computer will get 6 GB of RAM.
During the installation of RAM, the computer must be completely turned off.
I unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the side panel from the system unit in order to get to the motherboard.
Here I have a 4 GB RAM bar. Nearby there is another slot for RAM. In it, I will install my 2 GB RAM bar.
In this pile of wires 2 wires bother me. Therefore, I temporarily disconnect them. After installing the RAM, I will connect them again to my sockets. For this, I remember where they were connected.
It is here that I will set the bar for RAM. The connector has on the sides of the latch. I click them off on both sides.
I take the bar of RAM that I am going to add to the computer. Put it wrong it does not work. On a level there is a control opening. On different types of memory control holes are located in different places, and therefore, it will not be possible to install memory of one type into a memory slot of another type. For example, DDR2 memory will fail to install into the DDR3 memory slot.
Focusing on the control hole, set the memory bar in the slot. The strap must be fully inserted into the connector. After that, you need to latch the side latches on the connector so that the memory bar firmly and firmly held in it.
This is how these latches look and this is how they open and close.
I connect the wires to my places, which I disconnected due to the fact that they disturbed me. Connect the top and connect the bottom.
Now you can close the side cover. I install it in its place and tighten the fastening bolts. The computer can already be turned on.
What now shows the program Spessy. It has become 6 GB.
Here is the connector 1. There is a memory that was - 4 GB.
Here is connector 2. Then there was an added memory of 2 GB.
