On its rocks, in its ports or its deserts, it seems constantly to bear witness to the incredible diversity that the human species can produce.In this documentary, an Algerian from France speaks to a brother back home to tell what Algeria is like today, filmed from the air by the famous photographer Yann Arthus Bertrand. The documentary is built around a journey in three parts. The north, modernist, faces the Mediterranean, while the center is made up of rural and traditional regions. Finally, the great south is like another world, with its immense desert. This journey allows you to discover the indented coasts of Oranais, the agricultural plains of Mitidja, the foothills of the Atlas, the cliffs of Algiers, the beaches, the snowy peaks or the incredible mineral diversity of the Sahara.Algeria from above is the first documentary made entirely from the sky on Algeria. Through the eye of the famous Yann Arthus-Bertrand this documentary vividly depicts this great country, and its vibrant cultural and natural treasures. From North to South and from West to East, it shows us the entirety of Algeria. With a rich past that seems to have crossed all civilizations, and a territory where all natural environments amalgamate, Algeria appears here in all its diversity and its unity.The director gives free rein to his fascination with shapes, colors, faces and human imprints to create an exceptional portrait of the largest country on the African continent and around the Mediterranean.
