Understanding Terrorism

Lieutenant Colonel Nicholas Ayers visits JCCC to discuss “Understanding Terrorism: Challenges Facing the United States in Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan from a U.S. Military Perspective.” Ayers received his commission as an Armor Officer (tanks) after graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1997. Since then, he has served in a variety of assignments to include several stateside tours and overseas deployments to Germany, Korea, Kosovo (1999-2000), Iraq (2003-2004) and Afghanistan (2011-2012). In addition to operational assignments, Colonel Ayers was an assistant professor at West Point, teaching political science.
