The top 20 Derby winners
The top 20 Derby winners from 1950 - 2017.
There's probably a few controversial selections but every horse here was top class and some were truly outstanding. In terms of picking the best I would guess that Sea Bird, Nijinsky, Mill Reef, Shergar & Sea the Stars would recieve the most praise. Personally, I'm biased towards Nashwan & Generous. They were the two best winners of the race that I saw in the first couple of years of getting into watching racing.
